Boothe Memorial Park
Stratford, CT 06614
Boothe Memorial Park in Stratford is known as “the oldest homestead in America." The Boothe brothers were said to be quite spiritual people and even built shrines in the homestead. This is what is believed to be the cause of the hauntings on the premises. The location has been explored by paranormal research groups, who have reported odd feelings and experiences, including hearing disembodied voices and unexplained knocking. Next to the park is the Boothe Cemetery, where visitors have claimed to see anomalous forms and spirits.
Reviews
When I was a child, my mom, brother and I went to the park and inside the house. It was wide open and you can walk right in during the day back then in the 90s.
We got into the front foyer area and I remember clearly, even to this day, I had an overwhelming voice and uncomfortable feeling saying "GET OUT!!" I told my mom we need to leave here right now. We need to leave. I had to be around 6-8 years old back when it happened. Freaked me out ever since. I went back as an adult and there were people in there, so I didn't feel anything or hear anything....but did feel uncomfortable from the memories.
