Church of Eternal Light
Bristol, CT 6010
This church was once a schoolhouse when it opened in 1884 and it is rumored to be haunted by a ghostly face that appears in the windows of the bell tower. People have reported seeing spirit orbs here as well. No one is quite certain who the ghost is though. One story believes its a parishioner who was struck by lightning on the front steps to the church.

Reviews
This church has a rich history and is currently home to a Pagan Spiritualist congregation who are quite aware of and comfortable with the spirit energy within.
During the month of October, the church tends to draw folks curious about it's haunted history, but it offers wonderful classes and services all year long. They hold an Open Seance (registration required) every October and having attended many, I can certainly vouch for its authenticity. The church website tells it's history and includes a FAQ section regarding their belief system, rituals times and etiquette as well as a schedule of classes, services and special events. It IS private property and monitored by police, so best to contact the church directly if you'd like to visit outside of public services and events. The church does not permit "ghost hunting" as they have a positive relationship with their resident spectres.
