I visited 40 years ago on a field trip in high school and remember generally feeling horrific at the conditions. Visited again today but had to leave when the vision in my right eye started going and I had a hard time breathing and had to fight back tears…only a few yards into the entrance tunnel.
While it COULD be “all in my head” because of it being underground, etc,. I don’t have any issues with close spaces or caves and have felt this before in an upper storage room at a oyster fishery and in an attic of a house we were looking at to buy (we did NOT buy it).

Im not sensitive to human spirits or ghosts, so I didnt experience or feel any human energy through the mine system or prison. Also, it was too crowded with people and living activity for me to notice any inhuman entities of the land. The guides and DEEP personel were wonderful. First time going today. :) Awesome to go to if you experience something or not.

The one and only time I would ever step foot in the underground prison at Newgate was quite a few years ago. Pure evil lives there. I am a sensitive, however what I physically experienced I never wish to again , so I have never returned. While exploring the different cavern like areas I began to feel sick to my stomach as well as getting a rush of anxiety, this was towards the left side of the underground tunnel. I had my granddaughter with me, I grabbed her hand and headed towards the stairs leading up, every step of the way to reach the stairs it took all my strength to continue. It was as if the law of gravity was pulling me back, and all of my energy was being drained. We finally made it to the top of the stairs and outside, I was so fatigued I had to sit , catch my breath , there are horrid entities that reside in those caverns, nothing to play with.
