Norwich State Hospital
Preston, CT 6360
This location was once called the Norwich State Hospital for the Insane and was built in 1904 atop of an old Native-American village. Many deaths occurred at the hospital and it was also the location to a number of beatings, starvation of patients and prolonged confinement in cells. It closed its doors in 1996 and witnesses believe the site is haunted. Ghostly apparitions have been seen, eerie feelings have been felt, mists, orbs and EVPs. The location was featured on TV's Ghost Hunters.

I went back in 2020, we went into every building that was left at the time. The second we walked into one building that with some research I believe was where most lobotomies were done, I felt a cold presence behind me. It felt like someone was behind me watching me, every single picture I took inside that building came out blurry, two of those pictures have orbs in them. Definitely one of my most paranormal experiences.

I didn’t go here, was planning to, but with some research found out it is privately owned by the mohegan tribe. Just commenting so they change the status to not open to the public. happy haunting :)

There is no hauntings going on there. There's no sports, ghosts, entities, energies.
It's just become a stage for some poor acting click bait youtube people. Sad to see the site come to this. People filming here make up stories just because a building has some broken windows and falling down insides and try any profit over the site over former patients with implications. Pretty pathetic

Ive def had a great time going there, it just sucks that they're tearing down so much now. I had one time being in the main building where I had heard a woman softly singing upstairs. Also there is this water tower you can climb up and it has a great view from it. Go soon before they tear it all down.
